Elizabethtown was brilliant. At first I was vastly unimpressed, but continued watching because 1) Kirsten Dunst is perfect and 2) Paula Deen showed up. The scene where the mother tap dances at her husband’s memorial made me cry unexpectedly, and I’m still not sure why. Two minutes later I was laughing at the flaming bird terrifying all the hillbillies. That whole scene sealed the deal.

This must not make any sense. But I loved it.
